“My priority will be to form zonal cricket academies so that budding cricketers get the right kind of exposure and training,” Thakur, who was re-elected to the post for a second term, said in a statement here.
The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association president was satisfied with the performance of the Indian teams.
“Our teams like U-19 and Indian A are relatively doing good,” he said.
Thakur has to his credit turning the first-class ground in Dharamsala into the country’s most scenic cricket venue hosting IPL and International One-day matches on a regular basis.
