Former Bears Robert Griffin III and Mike Singletary had All-American careers at the now-fallen structure that stood four miles from the Baylor campus. The 50,000-seat stadium, which was renovated several times, took $1.8 million to built in 1950 to replace Waco’s Municipal Stadium as the Bears’ home field.
